Recon Dynamics hires Matt Smith as General Counsel
Recon Dynamics is pleased to announce the hiring of Matt Smith as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Legal Affairs. Prior to joining the company, Matt spent 31 years in private law practice in Seattle, most recently at Fikso Kretschmer Smith Dixon Ormseth PS, working primarily on general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, early-stage capital, and commercial real estate transactions.
Smith has served as general outside counsel for private companies ranging from specialty coffee, food and bakery services, specialty gases and gas delivery, real estate development, property management, and alternative energy.
His diverse experience, collaborative problem-solving skills, and insightful guidance are expected to be instrumental in helping Recon manage the rapid growth and expansion anticipated in 2020 and beyond.
A graduate of Whitman College (Walla Walla, WA), Smith received his JD degree from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he was Executive Editor of the Oregon Law Review.
